Good idea about the pocket efficency strategy…I use the Left for life, and Right for reach/roof. In the left pocket: 2 wire cutters of different size, flashlight, door control/tag line 10′ rope with a fig 8 on a bight with locking beener, nylon web strap for pulling. In the right pocket: 2 types wedges, 30′ length of rope for search off a tag line or tie it off to the beam at the top of the ladder for ease of lowering and raising tools and equipment, small folding spanner. Coat pockets are basically the same way. L: window punch, shove knife, pocket bible! R: safety glasses, chalk, wire cutters. I keep a separate tool pouch in a bag in the engine with “detail” tools.
