Hopefully your departments are all participating in the stand down this week. It’s not a bad idea to take a day out and touch base on all the safety issues we sometimes forget about. The focus this year is on emergency vehicle safety. Over 25 firefighters die each year in vehicle related accidents… That’s unacceptable! If you can’t get to the scene, you can’t do any good.
