Founders
Jeff Ponds Jeff (pictured right) is a third generation fireman who is currently assigned
to Orlando Fire Department’s Heavy Rescue 1, and a member of the OFD Technical
Rescue Team. Jeff has been serving with OFD for the last 14 years, many of which were on the busiest truck companies in Orlando.
Prior to OFD Jeff served
with another agency for 5 years.
Jimm Walsh
Jimm (pictured left) serves as Winter Park Fire Department’s Training Officer, and member of the
WPFD Technical Rescue Team. Prior to his promotion and assignment to the
Training Division, Jimm served as the Engineer on Truck 61. Jimm has been
serving with WPFD for the last 10 years, after serving with another agency for 2
years.

Jeff serves as the Program Manager for the Central Florida Fire Academy’s Special
Operations & Truck Company Programs. He is a Rescue Specialist on Florida Task Force 4 (FL-TF4)
and has been on various USAR deployments.

Winter Park Fire Department
Jimm serves an instructor for the Central Florida Fire Academy’s Special
Operations & Truck Company Programs, and former Fire Officer Program Manager. He is a Rescue
Specialist on Florida Task Force 4 (FL-TF4) and has been on various USAR
deployments, including Hurricane Katrina.
